Illustration.Files: Chanel S/S 2014 by Gerardo Larrea

The wait is finally over! For the past few months, I was hoping Gerardo Larrea would create an illustration based on Chanel S/S 2014 collection, and finally, my wish is granted!

Gerardo always has this whimsical, comical illustration style, so this is a perfect fit for the pop art inspired Chanel S/S 2014 collection. I like how he has recreated the colourful makeup look for each model and using paint brush as the wig is a brilliant idea. Overall, this is a very fun piece and I just cannot get enough of it! Bravo!

  1. Fashion and art go together and many of 2014 spring/summer collections where infused with an artistic spirit: Prada, Celine, Christian Dior, Jean-Charles De Castelbajac to name a few and Chanel’s bold brush strokes in primary hues where no exception.Using paint brush as a wig is a smart representation from the illustrator to reflect the message of the collection. Bravo to the maestro and thank you for sharing!
