Curated.Works: The Orange Dot Project – Francesco Lo Iacono

I can’t believe Draw A Dot. is now 4 years old and it is always great to see this community continues to grow. This year I have once again invited a few illustrators to participate the Orange Dot Project and Francesco Lo Iacono is one of them!

This artist is once again given the Orange Dot as the inspiration and the song of the year is Calvin HarrisThis Is What You Came For. When I first looked at Francesco‘s illustration, the orange dot immediately reminded me of a giant glowing sun. I think it is appropriate because the Draw A Dot. community has been expanding every year and everyone is very supportive for one another.

Let’s read what Francesco has to say about the piece and to Draw A Dot.!

“The illustration was inspired by the SS16 Jacquemus collection called “Le Nez Rouge” (The Red Nose). When Marcus asked me to be part of the “Draw A Dot 4th Anniversary Project”, this collection came to mind immediately. I thought this would be a perfect fit for the Draw A Dot orange logo.

I am very thankful to Marcus and Draw A Dot. Since I first reached out to show him my work. Marcus was very kind and professional, giving me precious advice and supporting my illustrations. Without a doubt my career wouldn’t be the same without Draw A Dot, that’s why I look forward to what’s next.”

We will continue the series next week! Stay tuned!
