Curated.Works: Co+Co by Coco Rocha S/S 2016 Fashion Illustrations

Last Tuesday a few Toronto illustrators and I had a very memorable experience. We were invited to meet with Coco Rocha and in that hour long session the illustrators illustrated some garments from her Co+Co by Coco Rocha S/S 2016 collection using the iPad Pro and ProCreate.

Curated.Works: World MasterCard Fashion Week F/W 2014 LIVE Runway Sketches (Day 5)

Last Friday, all 3 illustrators were at the tent to live sketch a few runway shows on the final day of World MasterCard Fashion Week. Although this is the second season I am working on this project, I am still very shocked to see what kind of images they have created within a 2 minutes time frame.

Below are the final sketches.

Curated.Works: World MasterCard Fashion Week F/W 2014 LIVE Runway Sketches (Day 4)

Friday marks the final day of World MasterCard Fashion Week, but before that, let’s take a look at the shows from yesterday.

All 3 illustrators were on site yesterday and below are the highlights of each show. By now, I am pretty sure all 3 illustrators are very familiar with the Sony Xperia Tablet Z tablet and I cannot wait to see what they will produce on the final day of fashion week.

It’s the midway point of the World MasterCard Fashion Week and today we have the recap of some of the shows from yesterday. Lisa Nishimura and Octavio Contreras attended 4 shows in total and once again, I am blown away by their quick sketch skills.

Please make sure to visit the official fashion week instagram account to see some behind the scenes of these shows. You may also get a glimpse of these illustrators working at the shows as well.

For Day 2, Lisa Nishimura and Stephanie McKay were at the Melissa Nepton and David Dixon runway shows. Below are the highlights of the shows! Lisa‘s style continues to amaze me and I am also very impressed by Stephanie‘s sketches! There is truly something for everyone in this season’s project!

Curated.Works: World MasterCard Fashion Week F/W 2014 LIVE Runway Sketches (Day 1)

With last season’s success, I have once again invited few of my illustrator friends to live sketch some runway shows at World MasterCard Fashion Week. This time, I have teamed up with IMG and Sony to show you what these talented illustrators can do during a live runway show.

This season, the team consists of 3 illustrators: Lisa Nishimura (you may remember her from last season), Octavio Contreras, and Stephanie McKay. They are using Sony‘s Xperia Tablet Z to create all the illustrations.

For day 1, Lisa and Octavio have attended 3 shows in total and each of them has brought a unique illustration style to the project. Below are the results.

Curated.Works: The Orange Dot Project – Lisa Nishimura

The Orange Dot Project is finally coming to an end and today, we have Lisa Nishimura in the house!

This is an interesting piece as the music has inspired Lisa to create something related to the sea world. The model is like an electric angel and the jellyfish definitely reminds me of the beat of the song. She has also transformed the orange dot into a brain coral, which she thinks it represents my mind. Without a doubt, I think this is a very thoughtful piece.
