A lot of members in the Patreon group are planning to create their own websites to promote their works but they are not too sure how to do it. Because of that, I have teamed up with Johna Stone to give you a chance to win a free website building package (worth $1500US)! We do however need you to learn the basics of website design. We don’t need you to build a perfect website, but we need to see a basic structure of what you want to build.
Task:
- Create a simple website (no more than 5 pages) using a free platform (Wix, Sqaurespace, WordPress.com etc).
- This website should be your portfolio (who you are, show your best works, clients works, contact etc)
- Don’t include the e-commerce component as we are not looking at this element for this contest
Deadline:
You have to submit your link to me no later than July 30, 2021 11:59pm EST.
Judging Period:
Johna, Steven Faerm, and I will be looking at all the submissions between July 31 and August 2. The winner will be announced on Patreon page on August 3,2021.
Prize:
Johna will serve as your consultant and help you to build a full-blown website. He will make sure you have a website that is professional and presentable to your clients.

Johna Stone
” Originally from Urumqi, Johna came to New York in 2012 to study at Parsons School of Design. Ever since then, he has been working with brands to establish their visual identities and design their websites. Most recently, he completed my UX/UI Bootcamp from Interaction Design Foundation, which helped further his design thinking as well as advance my UX design skills.”

Resource:
Johna and I will do a Zoom call together on July 11, 2021 at 11am EST. Johna will give you some tips on how to build your website (your submission to this contest) and answer some questions. That’s the only chance you can ask questions about website building for this contest.
